Supporting People And Pets Through Opportunity And Training (SPPOT) Community Interest Company
SPPOT (Supporting People and Pets through Opportunity and Training) is a Community Interest Company or a 'social enterprise' which was registered at Companies House on 5th February 2013.
SPPOT is a unique organisation in the UK providing accredited training opportunities and clear pathways to voluntary and paid employment for people who are furthest from the job market, in the care and training of dogs, thereby improving the lives of both people and dogs in Pembrokeshire.
SPPOT is now an Agored Cymru Recognised Centre and will offer a clear accredited framework of education, training and experience in canine welfare and training for people who are disabled or have long term health care needs or who are otherwise disadvantaged in the workplace. SPPOT is currently developing a new suite of courses with Agored, offering core units and vocational units in various canine professions. Trained people can then choose from a number of pathways to voluntary and paid employment with SPPOT.
